Oliver Stone has revealed that he has no plans to quit the movie industry.
The filmmaker is back in the director's chair later this year with the sequel to his 1987 movie Wall Street as Michael Douglas reprises the role of Gordon Gekko in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.
The movie premiered in Cannes this week and there is already Oscar whispers surrounding Douglas, he i joined in the movie by Shia LaBeouf, Carey Mulligan and Josh Brolin.
Stone has enjoyed a career that has spanned almost forty years making movies such as Platoon, Born on the Fourth of July and JFK.
And he is turning his hand to making a documentary on Chavez and has no plans to retire.
Speaking to The Telegraph he said: "No. I hope to get these documentaries done. They are very important to me and back to films early next year."
But he admits that after shooting a movie he does like to take a break before moving onto his next project.
"It gives you real life back. Sometimes you lose track of it.
"I won't see a camera for a while so the next time I come to the camera, it's sacred, I feel fresh. I don't want to overdo it.
"I need to withdraw, to retreat, to re-think."
