Noomi Rapace has revealed that she was keen to work on Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows after a meeting with Robert Downey Jr and his wife Susan.
The actress revealed that she met with the actor and Susan, a producer on the movie, in LA and she left really wanting to work with them.
She takes on the role of Sim in the sequel - which sees Downey Jr reprise the role of Sherlock Holmes and Jude Law return as Watson.
The film is the first major Hollywood project for Rapace after shooting to fame last year in the role of Lisbeth Salander.
She will team up with another high profile director this summer, Ridley Scott, for Prometheus - which also stars Michael Fassbender and Charlize Theron.
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is released 16th December.
