Noel Clarke has hit out at the Olympic Committee for now allowing him to mention London 2012 in new movie Fast Girls.
The British star has penned and will star in new movie Fast Girls which follows a group of women who are training for a World Championships - the story was meant to see them training for the London Games.
Speaking to The Radio Times the actor said: "It's a disgrace. A total disgrace. We had to approach the Olympic Committee and they had to check with all their sponsors... it's a disgrace, really," he said.
"It's all business, isn't it? And I guess we'd be cashing in on their business."
"This is the problem with films in this country. They are not respected enough and not helped enough. In America that would never have happened.
"The sponsors would have got involved and said 'Yeah, great'. But this is how we treat ourselves."
Regan Hall makes his feature length directorial debut with Fast Girls which sees Lenora Crichlow, Bradley James and Clarke all star.
Fast Girls is released 15th June.
