Lee Unkrich has admitted that there are no current plans for a Toy Story 4 movie.
Woody, Buzz and co are back on the big screen this summer eleven years after we saw them last and a whopping fifteen since we saw them for the very first time.
However Unkrich admits that he did try to tie the story up in the third film but that doesn't mean that we will never see these characters again.
Speaking to MSN the director said: "I really tried my best to end the story of Andy and his toys and bring that story to a close in a really nice way at the end of this film.
"That being said, we know that people love the characters, love Woody and Buzz, and would hate to say goodbye to them completely.
"I don't know that there would ever be a Toy Story 4. We don't have any plans for one - but we are trying to find ways to keep the characters alive.
"We have announced we're going to do a short film in front of Cars 2 that uses the Toy Story characters. We're going to keep them alive; they're not going away forever."
Toy Story 3 is currently sitting pretty at the top of the U.S. box office having taken $109 million in it's opening weekend to comfortably topple The Karate Kid after just one week at the top.
Toy Story 3 arrives in UK cinemas 23rd July.
