Nicolas Cage will return as Ghost Rider.
A second movie has been in the pipeline for some time but it was uncertain whether Cage would return to the role of Johnny Blaze, a character he first played back in 2007.
Despite mixed reviews upon release the movie went on to take $228 million at the global box office, making back it's $150 million budget.
But the Oscar winning actor, who seems to have done nothing but work this year, has confirmed that he will return to the franchise.
Speaking on the Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson the actor said: "I'll tell you something, we're going to go for two," he said. "There's going to be a new [Ghost Rider], I just made the deal today."
The movie is expected to begin filming at the end of the year with Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, the men behind Crank, set to direct.
Cage is back on the big screen next month as sorcerer Baltazar Blake in Disney's The Sorcerer's Apprentice, which reunites him with National Treasure filmmaker Jon Turtletaub.
He has already enjoyed box office success with BBad Lieutenant and superhero movie Kick Ass. Season of the Witch is due for release as is Drive Angry 3D.
