Liam Neeson has revealed that Mel Gibson is 'cool' about leaving The Hangover 2.
Gibson was cast in a cameo role as a tattoo artist in the comedy sequel but left the project when members of the production complained about the casting.
Liam Neeson has now been hired in his place.
Speaking to Access Hollywood Neeson said: Apparently, yes [the part was Mel's] - I didn’t realise it at the time.
"I spoke to Mel. Mel's cool about it. We're all cool. Mel and I did a movie together about 20 or 25 years ago. It was a long time ago. So, we know each other."
It's been a busy year for the actor who has starred in The A-Team, Clash of the Titans and has lent his voice to The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
He is also working on Battleship and has Last Stand and The Grey in the pipeline.
The Hangover Part II is released 27th may 2011.
