Darren Aronofsky reportedly wants Natalie Portman for the role of Louis Lane if the filmmaker lands the job of directing the new Superman movie.
Aronofsky is the latest name to be added to Christopher Nolan's, who is serving as producer on the movie, list of possible directors.
Aronofsky and Portman have already worked together on their latest project Black Swan, a movie that is already getting major Oscar attention.
But it seems that The Wrestler wants to team up with the actress once again and is keen to cast her in the blockbuster movie should he end up directing.
It would be another blockbuster for Portman as she has just finished work on the big screen adaptation of Marvel Comic Book hero Thor, which is due out in cinemas next year.
It is still uncertain who will direct the new Man of Steel movie as Tony Scott, Matt Reeves, Duncan Jones, Zack Snyder and Jonathan Liebesman are all in the running.
