Mickey Rourke is to star in a remake of the 1986 British gangster movie Mona Lisa.
The Wrestler star will portray an ex-con working as a chauffeur for a high-class escort, rumored to be played by Casino Royal actress Eva Green.
The original movie's line-up included Bob Hoskins and Michael Caine, and saw Hoskins go on to win the 1987 Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Drama.
Rourke will be joined on screen by Bond actress Eva Green and the movie will be directed by Kids filmmaker Larry Clark, who will also pen the script.
However the movie will not be set in the UK like the original relocating to America, filming is expected to get underway in July.
Since his Oscar nominated performance in The Wrestler earlier this year Rourke has seen his career soar landing roles in the second Iron Man movie as Whiplash and Stallone's The Expendables.
