Mickey Rourke has been cast in new erotic drama 11 Minutes alongside Alice Braga and Vincent Cassel.
Since his Academy nominated turn in Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler the actor has seen his career restored with offers of work come flooding in.
Based on a novel by Paulo Coehlo the film centres on a girl (Braga) who, after be betrayed by her first lover, she becomes an expensive call girl.
According to Variety Abu Assad, who directed Paradise Now, will helm the project and production is expected to get underway in June.
2009 looks set to be a busy year for Rourke with Killshot and The Informers to be released. He has also landed a role in Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables and 13 and St Vincent.
The actor was also linked to a role in Iron Man 2 but has reportedly turned it down due to money issues.
