Michelle Pfeiffer has revealed that she is looking forward to seeing Anne Hathaway play Catwoman.
Pfeiffer took on the role of Catwoman in Tim Burton's Batman Returns back in 1992 and she is confident that her successor will make a great job of the role in The Dark Knight Rises.
Speaking to Celebuzz the actress said: "I love Anne Hathaway, I'm a huge fan.
"The nature of all of these characters is they're played by different people all the time. I think she's great and I think she's going to be awesome."
The Dark Knight Rises is the third and final Batman movie from filmmaker Christopher Nolan that comes four years after the billion dollar success of The Dark Knight.
Pfeiffer on the other hand is back on the big screen this week with her new movie Dark Shadows, a movie that sees her reunite with Tim Burton.
It's the first time they have worked together since Batman Returns as they bring the sixties TV series to the big screen.
The movie sees Pfeiffer team up with Johnny Depp, Eva Green and Helena Bonham Carter.
Dark Shadows is released 11th May.
