Michael Sheen has revealed that the tight security measures on the set of New Moon prevented the cast and crew from taking photographs.
The actor joins the cast list in the role of Volutri vampire Aro, a character that is being introduced for the first time.
In an interview with Newsbeat the actor said: "I remember someone whose job was containment and I thought, 'What does that actually mean? Does that mean stopping people from getting on the set?'
"It wasn't, it was to stop people on the set taking pictures and sending them out. There's a lot of security but there was nobody hanging around the set or anything like that."
"I think all the Twilight fans are very well behaved on the whole, they let them do the work and then when they're out and about they go a bit mental."
Last month it was reported that medics are on standby on the set of the Twilight movies, to help fans overcome by the sight of their idols.
The vampire franchise has whipped teenagers into a frenzy, particularly over hunky stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.
Michael Sheen is just one of a new list of actors to join the cast list as Dakota Fanning and Jamie Campbell Bower are amongst the others.
New Moon is released 20th November.
