Michael Fassbender is set to star in and produce the big screen adaptation of computer game Assassin's Creed.
This was a project that was in the pipeline last year but development seemed to come to a halt but now it looks back on track.
Michael Fassbender has enjoyed blockbuster success but the projects that he has tackled in the past have been more ensemble based films - this would be the first time that he has carried a big budget movie.
But Fassbender is one of the busiest actors around as he has already had success with Shame and Prometheus this year.
When filming on the movie is set to get underway is not clear as Fassbender is currently working on Twelve Years a Slave, which sees him work with Steve McQueen once again.
He is also set to work with Ridley Scott for a second time on The Counselor, which will also star Brad Pitt and Penelope Cruz.
