Michael Fassbender has revealed that he is open to the idea of starring in Robocop.
The actor has suggested for the role earlier this year by the film's director Jose Padhila and Fassbender admits that he would be willing to take a look at a script.
In an interview with Collider the actor said: "You know, I'm always open. I'll take a look at the script and sit down with the director and have a conversation."
"It's not definitely like, 'Oh, I've got to play RoboCop before I retire'. I don't have that about anything. I don't go, 'I have to play the Dane one day, or Hamlet'. I don't really think like that.
"I just wait and see what comes up, and I'm always open to it."
The last year has been super busy for the actor with X-Men: First Class and Jane Eyre having already been released.
Haywire, A Dangerous Method and Shame are all in the pipeline for the new year, Shame being the role that has brought all the attention.
He won Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival for his performance and he has been tipped for an Oscar nod.
