X-Men:First Class' cast list seems to be filling up rather nicely as it seems that Michael Fassbender has joined the cast as a young Magneto.
Fassbender has been linked with the role for several weeks but had also been looked at a part in the re-booted Spider Man franchise and it was believed that he couldn't take on both projects.
But he will now join James McAvoy, who is playing a young Charles Xavier, while Amber heard was also reported to be in talks to take on the role of Mistique.
Benjamin Walker has also joined the movie as Dr hank McCoy, or Beast to you and me, while Rosamund Pike and Aaron Johnson have also been linked to the roles of Dr Moira MacTaggart and Cyclops.
The movie will be directed by Kick Ass filmmaker Matthew Vaughn and the script has been penned by Jane Goldman and Jamie Moss.
X-Men:First Class is scheduled for a 2011 release and filming is expected to get underway at some point over the next few months.
