Michael Caine has revealed his excitement about the growing The Dark Knight Rises cast.
The actor is set to reprise his role as Alfred in the third movie in the franchise, alongside Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne.
And while Caine admitted that he didn't know Marion Cotillard had been cast in the movie he was excited at the prospect of working with Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy.
Speaking to E! News the actor said: "Marion Cotillard is in it? Nobody tells me these things.
"Oh, shoot. I didn't know. Well, Anne Hathaway is Catwoman isn't she? Well, that's fabulous. Tom Hardy is gonna be great too. He's a tough British actor."
But the actor revealed that he is yet to see a script.
"I talked to Chris [Nolan] last week 'cause I said I hadn't gotten a script and he said, 'I haven't finished it.' And he said, 'I'll finish it in two weeks,' "
The British actor currently lends his voice to Gnomeo and Juliet and has also lent his voice to Pixar movie Cars 2.
He is currently filming Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and has Mr Morgan's Last Love and Henry5 in the pipeline.
The Dark Knight Rises is expected to hit cinemas in July 2012.
