Mia Wasikowska has revealed that she struggled with green screen when shooting Alice In Wonderland.
The role of Alice proved to be the breakthrough role of the actress twelve months ago and since then she has seen her career soar.
And while she admits that she loved watching director Tim Burton work she found working with special effects and green screen a real challenge.
Speaking to Total Film the actress said: "It was the best education - seeing how Tim worked, learning from him and absorbing the whole environment.
"The green screen was very challenging as you can't judge what's happening. You rely on people telling you what kind of atmosphere you are in.
"It's the most difficult kind of acting. You have to trust the director because you can definitely feel lost."
Wasikowska won over fans earlier this autumn taking on the role of Jane Eyre in the Cary Fukunaga directed adaptation of the popular novel.
And she will be back on the big screen later this year with Restless and Albert Nobbs.
