Mel Gibson is reportedly furious at being dropped from a cameo role in The Hangover 2.
The actor, who has see his image take a nosedive after a string of controversies this year, was all set to take on the role of a tattoo artist in the movie.
However after complaints from a string of people involved with the movie the Oscar winning actor has been dropped and replaced by Liam Neeson.
An insider told the New York Post: 'He doesn't understand why Mike Tyson, a drug user who turned his life around, was given a chance while Mel was kicked to the curb.
"Everybody deserves a second chance.
Gibson returned to the big screen earlier this year with Edge of Darkness for the first time since The Singing Detective back in 2004. But his image took a serious knock when stories concerning his private life hit the headlines back in the summer.
He had already completed work on The Beaver, which is directed by Jodie Foster, but it's uncertain when this movie will get a release.
The Hangover 2 is currently filming and will be released next year.
