Megan Fox suffered from shinsplints whilst filming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
The actress, who reprises the role of Mikaela Banes for this summers sequel to the 2007 movie, has revealed that the cause of her injury were uncomfortable shoes.
In an interview with USA Weekend she said: "Stilettos - and for the last part of the film, motorcycle boots. I had major shinsplints and threw out my back a couple times."
Fox added that director Michael Bay insisted that she have a sunkissed complexion for the action sequel: "Michael likes everyone freakishly tan, so we were painted maroon, like in the old Westerns when they hired Caucasians to play Native Americans.
"I had on fake eyelashes, running through the desert with sand stuck in them, and I'm sweating off all the makeup. It looked like we were making a tragedy."
Michael bay's Transformers shot both Fox and her co-star Shia Labeouf to stardom in 2007 when they took on a live action version of the Transformers franchise.
The film was a massive box office hit in the summer of 2007, taking in the likes of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and The Bourne Ultimatum, grossing over $708 million at the global box office.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is released 24th June.
