Matt Damon has revealed that he would like to direct.
Despite his interest in moving behind the camera Damon has admitted that he would only do so if the right project came along.
Talking to Bang Showbiz the Oscar winning actor said: "I want a simple little human story. Something like 'Good Will Hunting' or something that's smaller like that. Nothing too tricky the first time.
"I don't know if I'll be in it. I'd prefer not to be. I've heard from other people and Ben told me it's tough, it's a lot of hard work."
Damon shot to fame at the end of the nineties when he penned the script for Good Will Hunting with Ben Affleck, a script that brought them an Oscar.
Affleck has since found success in the director's chair with his debut movie Gone Baby Gone and it seems that Damon wants to follow in his footsteps.
However Damon is a busy boy in front of the camera with Invictus released this week and The Green Zone released next month.
He also has a string of movies in the pipeline including The Adjustment Bureau, Hereafter and True Grit.
