Matt Damon may not be in the fourth Bourne movie as he believes that it could be a prequel.
Despite bringing the trilogy to an end in 2008 with The Bourne Ultimatum, the most successful film in the franchise, there has always been talk of another movie.
He told Bang Showbiz: "I don't know you know. I think it will be a prequel of some kind with another actor and another director before we do another one.
"I think we are probably five years away from another one. We gotta get a script. If you have any ideas please call Universal."
The project looked all set to go last year as Damon and director Paul Greengrass seemed to be aboard the project.
However Greengrass left the movie in December. He claimed that he wanted a 'different challenge' and played down rumours of a fall out with Universal Pictures over the script and budget.
But Damon and Greengrass are set to reunite later this year with war movie The Green Zone, which would be their third movie together.
