Matt Damon has revealed that he struggles with the label leading man.
Over the last few year Damon has risen to one of Hollywood's biggest stars with the Bourne series and Ocean's movies under his belt.
But the actor, who won an Oscar for writing the script Good Will Hunting with Ben Affleck, but admits that he still finds it difficult take on a movie's main part.
In an interview with the New York Times the actor said: "The leading man stuff doesn't come easily to me.
"I've always felt like a character actor.
"As an actor you have to make decisions about what their motivations are, even if you don't let on."
But it's leading man status later this month with The Informant, which sees him take on the role of Mark Whitacre who turns informant on the company that he works for.
And 2010 looks set to busy for the actor with Green Zone, which reunites him with filmmaker Paul Greengrass and Invictus, where he stars alongside Morgan Freeman, all in the pipeline.
The Informant is released 20th November.
