Matt Damon has revealed that directing is the next step in his career.
In recent years Damon has become one of Hollywood's hottest properties with the likes of Ocean's Eleven, Syriana and the Bourne trilogy under his belt.
And all this success came after he won an Oscar for penning Good Will Hunting with best mate Ben Affleck.
In an interview with Contactmusic the actor said: "I can't wait to direct. I choose my movies based on the director and so I've been treating the last 12 years like a film school.
"All the directors I've worked with have been very tolerant of my questions. The next step is for me to try it myself."
"I'm not in a rush. The jobs that I'm getting not only are really exciting for me as an actor but I'm still working with people that I have a great deal to learn from."
And Damon will be looking to follow in the footsteps of Affleck who made his directorial debut last year with Gone Baby Gone.
