Martin Lawrence has revealed that Bad Boys 3 is definitely in the pipeline and a script is currently being put together.
Lawrence last teamed up with Will Smith as the buddy cops back in 2003, which also saw Michael bay back in the director's chair.
And while there have been rumours of a possible third film Lawrence has confirmed that the project is 'very real'.
Speaking to Digital Spy the actor said: "They're working on a script now. That's something I think looks very real.
"Will told me that he wanted to do it as well. Michael Bay I heard was on board and Jerry Bruckheimer. We'll see."
However the actor could not shed any light on when work on the movie might get under way. "Those guys are very busy. There's no timeline."
Lawrence is back on the big screen this week with his new movie Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son, the third film in the series.
Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son is the first film for the actor since he starred in Death At A Funeral last year.
Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son is released 18th February.
