Mark Millar appears to be unfazed by the controversy surrounding the big screen adaptation of his graphic novel Kick Ass.
The movie, and it's director Matthew Vaughn, came under fire last week for allowing Chloe Moretz, who was twelve when the movie was made, to use the word c***s in the film.
Speaking to the Metro Millar said: "People have said Daily Mail readers and church groups are up in arms about it, but I'm a Daily Mail reader and go to church every week and I'm not offended.
"It's made by Daily Mail readers for Daily Mail readers."
And the writer had nothing but huge praise for Moretz, who plays hit girl in the movie, during the controversy and waved off suggestions that she had been left 'traumatised' by the role.
"Are you kidding?
"Chloe's the world's smartest kid. She's got a career plan - she'll work with Martin Scorsese next year. She's handled this better than anyone."
Millar has enjoyed huge movie success of late as the adaptation of Kick Ass follows in the footsteps of Wanted, which starred James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie and was released in 2008.
