Mark Wahlberg says that he would like to work with fellow Boston actor Ben Affleck.
There has always been a competitive rivalry between Wahlberg, Affleck and Matt Damon over the years and Wahlberg admits that they want to outdo each other.
However Affleck's directing ability has impressed Wahlberg and he is keen to work with him.
Speaking to the Boston Herald the actor said: "I don't throw the compliments around when it comes to other Boston guys.
"I'll be the first to admit that the three of us are all very competitive; we want to outdo each other.
"But I am very impressed by [Ben's] abilities behind the camera. I am a fan and he's proven himself to be a force of nature. He's got the goods and I want to work with him."
Wahlberg has a busy 2013 ahead as he has Lone Survivor, Pain & Gain and 2 Guns are all set for release.
He is also set to film Ted 2 and a fourth Transformers film this year.
