Mark Strong has revealed that he loved taking on his Green Lantern role of Sinestro.
He is back on the big screen this week as he teams up with Ryan Reynolds for the comic book movie.
Speaking to the Los Angeles Times the actor said: "I've learned that I'm the kind of actor who loves transformation.
"Wearing someone else's clothes, someone else's hair, somebody else's face, that's very interesting to me and I think it's because I come from the theatre."
And it was the prosthetic process that the actor admits he really enjoyed.
"I loved coming in for make-up tests and working with the prosthetics and coming up with this really fantastic look that is true to the comics.
"It meant four or five hours in the make-up chair [on shooting days] to get the look right but I was happy to do that. It really helps you to create something other than yourself."
2011 looks set to be a busy year for the actor as he has already completed work Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and Black Gold.
Green Lantern is released 17th June.
