Mark Strong admits that he would like to take on the role of a Bond villain.
The British actor has made a career out of taking on bad guy roles with the likes of Kick Ass, Sherlock Holmes and RocknRolla under his belt.
Speaking to MSN Strong said: "I would like to be a Bond villain if it was interesting - I choose every part according to whether I respond to the character.
I love the fact that playing the villain is such an honourable profession and it's been elevated to a particular title in those movies - there's the Bond girl and the Bond villain."
And Strong is back on the big screen later this month in Ridley Scott's re-telling of Robin Hood, in which he plays the rather nasty Godfrey.
And the actor admits that villains are roles that he really enjoys: "I find the roles intriguing.
"As an actor you want characters that you can get your teeth into, and with these villains I try to find something in them that is understandable, if not liked. It also often means you get some of the best lines and best gear."
And it's a busy year for Strong with The Eagle of the Ninth and The Way Back currently in post production.
He is filming Green Lantern and had John Carter on Mars in the pipeline.
Robin Hood is released 12th May.
