The Oscar buzz surrounding Marion Cotillard is well deserved says her co-star Matthias Schoenaerts.
Cotillard teams up with Schoenaerts for new movie Rust and Bone which has been lighting up the festival circuit in recent weeks.
The film itself was the toast of the BFI London Film Festival while Cotillard is being tipped to pick up another Best Actress Oscar nomination for her central performance.
Speaking to the Press Association the actor said: "It's well deserved. What she does in the film is so nuanced, is so touching and so sincere. It's powerful.
"It would be well deserved absolutely."
Cotillard already has a Best Actress Oscar under her belt after she won for her portrayal of Edith Piaf in La Vie En Rose - she is an early favourite to repeat that success.
Cotillard turned her hand to the big budget blockbuster earlier this year when she played Marion Tate in The Dark Knight Rises.
She has already completed work on Nightingale and Blood Ties.
