Jessica Chastain has knocked herself from the top of the U.S. box office as Mama snatches the #1 spot from Zero Dark Thirty.
Mama sees Chastain team up with director Andrés Muschietti in the Guillermo Del Toro directed film which took $28.1 million this weekend.
Zero Dark Thirty, which has seen Chastain pick up a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her performance, fell just a single place to number two after a week at the top of the box office.
Silver Linings Playbook was up seven places this week as it leapt from ten to three.
The movie has been a major player on the awards circuit with Jennifer Lawrence picking up a Best Actress - Comedy/Musical at the Golden Globes last weekend.
Gangster Squad fell just a single place this week from three to four while Broken City was a new entry at number five.
A Haunted House was the biggest faller on the chart this week as it fell four places to six.
Django Unchained was down three at seven while Les Miserables was also down three places this week at eight.
The Hobbit: Am Unexpected Journey was another three place faller at nine while The Last Stand was the third and final new entry inside the top ten this week.
