Looper has stormed to the top of the UK box office ending the reign of animation film ParaNorman.
The sci-fi movie starring Joseph Gordon Levitt and Bruce Willis has been winning over critics left right and centre and it seems that UK audiences are agreeing.
The movie took £3.4 million in its opening weekend to comfortably hold off the challenge from ParaNorman.
ParaNorman dropped just a single place this week to number two while Resident Evil: Retribution was the second new entry inside the top three at number three.
The Campaign sees Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis go head to head and it opened at number four - it was the third and final new entry on the top ten this week.
House At The End of the Street was down two places this week at five while Killing Them Softly was this week's biggest faller as it dropped four places to number six.
Hope Springs was down two at seven while The Sweeney was another four place faller at number eight.
Pixar movie Brave was down two at nine while Untouchable - the movie that is the most talked about and awarded this summer - was into the top ten at number ten.
