Duff Mckagan's rock side project Loaded is to be the subject of a new fly-on-the-wall documentary.
The former Guns N' Roses star and his bandmates dreamed up the idea of making a movie about life in the band while they were drinking strong coffee during a playback of their upcoming third album, The Taking.
They contacted independent filmmaker Jamie Chamberlin and set to work on the project, which features film of the rockers in concert, backstage footage, and even a cameo appearance from Motorhead frontman Lemmy.
McKagan tells Kerrang! magazine, "When you drink a lot of coffee, you think all of your ideas are genius and can solve all the world's problems.
"We had the body of the record done... and we were listening to it and were like, 'This sounds cinematic!'.
"That's when someone suggested that we make a movie. Those kind of ideas tend to go away, but this one stuck...
"There's not a lot of dialogue but lots of improvised scenes. I've seen some cuts of the film and they're genius!"
The film will be available to view on the band's website from next month (Apr11).
