Lindsay Lohan wants her career back.
The Parent Trap and Mean Girls star has been blighted by personal problems and has seen her acting career suffer as a result as she became more famous for her tabloid exploits than her movies.
In an interview with Vanity Fair the actress said: "So many people around me would say they cared for the wrong reasons.
"A lot of people were pulling from me, taking from me and not giving. I had a lot of people that were there for me for, you know, the party.
"I want my career back. I want the respect that I had when I was doing great movies. And if that takes not going out to a club at night, then so be it. It's not fun anyway."
The actress is back on the big screen later this year as she stars alongside Robert De Niro, Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez and Jessica Alba in Robert Rodriguez's latest movie Machete.
Machete is her first movie since Labour Pains in 2009. However she has been linked to movies The Dry Gulch Kid, Black Friday 3D and One Night With You.
