Lindsay Lohan has been praised and offered words of support for her Machete co-stars and director.
The troubled actress will be back on the big screen later this year in Robert Rodriguez's latest project Machete, which brings together a cast of Lohan, Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez and Danny Trejo.
The movie got it's Los Angeles premiere earlier in the week and the stars came out in support for Lohan.
Speaking to MTV on the red carpet Rodriguez said of her performance: "She's awesome in the movie. That's what they'll see: the actress behind all that paparazzi nonsense that follows her and won't leave her alone.
"They'll get to see her and say, 'Oh, that's why we follow her around.' "
And this was supported by Jessica Alba: "She's so good in this movie. I can't wait for people to see [her in] it."
Directed by Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis, Machete is an expansion of a fake trailer that was released with Grindhouse.
Machete is released 26th November.
