Liam Neeson will not be appearing in The Dark Knight Rises.
The actor took on the role of Ra's al Ghul in Batman Returns and rumours had been circulating that he was to return - it's believed that the movie will feature the League of Shadows.
And while Neeson admits that he would love to return to the franchise no one has approached him about reprising his 2005 role.
Speaking to Empire the actor said: "That rumour is totally not true. In the comic books, Ra's Al Ghul goes into a life bath of some sort and immerses himself to become immortal.
"So that's probably where that comes from. But no-one's approached me with an offer. I'd like to if it happens."
Neeson can currently be seen on the big screen in Unknown as he returns to the action movie.
And it's a buy year for the actor as he will appear in a cameo role in The Hangover Part II and he has also completed work on battleship.
He is currently filming The Grey, which is directed by Joe Carnaghan, and he is set to reprise the role of Zeus in Wrath of the Titans.
Unknown is out now.
