Leonardo DiCaprio has described filming an Inception scene in Morocco as feeling like a pinball.

The actor is back on the big screen next week for Christopher Nolan's sci-fi epic, which looks set to be one of the most interesting movies of the year, Inception.

I felt like a ball in a pinball machine being bounced around the market place!

But the Oscar nominated actor revealed that there were some aspects of the shoot that were difficult to capture.

Speaking to Digital Spy at the premiere of the movie the actor said: "There was a sequence in Morocco that was very difficult to do, I felt like a ball in a pinball machine being bounced around the market place!

"When you show up on a Chris Nolan set you absolutely expect the unexpected and the truth of the matter is we were perpetually surprised and in awe of what he was able to achieve, even before lunch."

Inception is the first movie for Nolan since The Dark Knight back in the summer of 2008 but he has assembled an impressive cast of DiCaprion, Michael Caine, Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy.

DiCpario has already enjoyed box office success this year as he reunited with Martin Scorsese for the big screen adaptation of Denis Lehane's novel Shutter Island.

The actor is also set to take on the role of Edgar J.Hoover in a biopic of the first Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation which will be helmed by Clint Eastwood.

Inception is released 16th July.
