Leonardo DiCaprio has pulled out of Mel Gibson's Viking movie project.
The Oscar nominated actor was due to work with the filmmaker before the revelations of his private life hit the media in the last few weeks.
According to a source at Radar Online DiCaprio wants to distance himself from the personal scandal that actor turned director Gibson currently faces.
When asked if DiCaprio still planned to go ahead with the film the source said: 'Not a chance.'
"Leo has earned the right to pick and choose who he works with and Mel Gibson is not one of them."
DiCaprio is enjoying huge critical and commercial success with his latest movie Inception, which is still top of the American box office, as he teamed up with filmmaker Christopher Nolan for the first time.
The film has so far grossed over $240 million at the global box office and is still going strong.
DiCaprio is set to work with another high profile director, in the form of Clint Eastwood, later this year as he takes on the biopic picture Hoover.
The actor, who has played Howard Hughes in the past, will take on the role of J. Edgar Hoover.
Mel Gibson has been accused of striking his ex partner Oksana Grigorieva while she was holding their baby. But Gibson has accused the musician of trying to extort money from him.
