Lenny Kravitz has described Jennifer Lawrence as a young Meryl Streep.
The pair have teamed up as Katniss Everdeen and Cinna on the big screen adaptation of The Hunger Games and Kravitz has nothing but praise for the Oscar nominated actress.
Speaking to Flicks and Bits the actor said: "I think that Jennifer Lawrence is just an amazing actress... [I've] been watching her for a number of years and I just think she's got so much talent.
"To me, she's like a young Meryl Streep, she's got a lot of range and people are going to see a lot coming from her.
"She is the character, from the moment I arrived on set, she just embodied Katniss's spirit."
The Hunger Games is only the second movie role for Kravitz after starring in Precious back in 2010.
He joins an all star cast list that includes Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Elizabeth Banks.
And it seems that acting is where Kravitz will be staying for a while has he has also been linked to a role in The Blind Bastard Club.
The Hunger Games is released 23rd March.
