Laurence Fishburne

Laurence Fishburne believes that TV is ahead of movies in it's story telling abilities.

The actor is currently working in TV as Dr Raymond Langston on CSI and while he recognises the technological advances that movies have made he believes that the gripping storylines still remain on the small screen.

Speaking to the Press Association the actor said: "I would say in the last 25 years, television - in many respects - has been way ahead of the movies in terms of the stories that people are willing to tell, and sometimes the movies are ahead of television in terms of the technology that they're able to actually use."

"But all mediums for me are a lot of fun. I don't have any kind of allegiance or feel like one is better than the other."

The Matrix star took over the central role from William Petersen last year but he is juggling a TV and movie career.

He was back on the big screen earlier this year as part of ensemble cast Armored and Predators is next in the pipeline.

Predators is a sci-fi movie that will see Fishburne team up with Adrien Brody and Topher Grace.
