Will Ferrell has revealed that his new movie The Land of the Lost will not upset fans of the original television series.
Will Farrell returns to the big screen as Dr Rick Marshall in a comedy film based on the 1974 television series.
In an interview with MTV he said: "They can't be too hard on us, because while Land Of The Lost is known to some, it's not known to a wide audience, so we had to kind of expand it."
Anna Friel and Danny McBride join Ferrell as a disgraced paleontologist, his assistant and a macho tour guide find themselves in a strange world inhabited by dinosaurs, monkey people and reptilian Sleestaks.
"You got Sleestaks, you got Rick, you got Chaka, you got the infamous sign on the rock, 'Beware of Sleestak'. You have Enik, you have crystals, you have Grumpy the T-rex, so I don't want to hear it!"
Land of the Lost is released 31st July.
