Kyle Gallner, star of The Haunting In Connecticut is to reprise Johnny Depp's character in the Nightmare On Elm Street remake, according to Internet reports.
Depp played Glen Lantz in the 1984 classic and now Gallner will dabble with villainous ghoul Freddy Krueger 15 years later.
Gallner's character has been renamed Quentin for the update, which will feature The Watchmen star Jackie Earle Haley as Krueger.
As in the original, Krueger - a serial child killer murdered by angry parents - will terrorise teens as they sleep, according to Bloody-Disgusting.com..
It will be the 10th Nightmare on Elm Street movie in the franchise, which has also spawned two TV series.
Kruger burst onto our screen in 1984 in A Nightmare on Elm Street as an undead child serial killer who attacks his victims in their own dreams.
Wes Craven got his inspiration for the character from a story in the LA Times about a twenty one year old man who died in his dreams.
Shooting begins next month.
