The Sex and the City movie is still on. But just like when Sarah Jessica Parker and Co. were still cranking out the series on HBO, details are being kept very hush-hush. Kristin Davis, who played peppy prepster Charlotte York, lit up when I asked her about the flick, but she was pretty mum about it all. "I'm very excited about it," Davis said. Then she frowned, "But that's all I can say right now."I caught up with Davis yesterday at Mercedes-Benz in Beverly Hills during the Fashion for Life 2007 benefit for Friendly House, Los Angeles' oldest alcohol and drug recovery organization for women. My E! cohort Debbie Matenopoulos hosted the shindig, which included a silent auction and a fashion show styled by celeb stylist Vincent Boucher. Not only is Davis sober herself, but she was on hand to present the Vision Award to Cameron Silver, the fashion guru who owns the vintage couture stores Decades and Decadestwo.Of course, I just had to chat with Davis about fashion. While wearing something twice in Hollywood may be a fashion don't, Davis says vintage is the exception. "When you have a good piece of vintage, it's like a good piece of history," she said. "So, I think you can wear it more than once. You just can't wear it to the same event!"

Davis has picked up quite a few pieces from Silver's stores. Her favorites include a bust-enhancing peach Yves Saint Laurent number she wore to an Oscar party in 2005.

Just a few weeks before, she wore another one of her faves to the Golden Globes: a purple plunging Galanos gown. "It's very chic and easy," Davis cooed. "It has pockets!" For yesterday's event, Silver chose a summery dress for Davis from late legendary Hollywood designer and Lucille Ball favorite Don Loper.

Silver thanked Davis for having the smallest waist of anyone he knows, adding, "She is the only woman I know who could fit into that dress."
