Kristen Stewart's portrayal of Joan Jett in her latest movie The Runaways has impressed the lady herself.
Stewart teams up with Dakota Fanning for the biopic picture about the rise of female rock band the Runaways.
And Jett is impressed with her performance as she told Contactmusic: "I thought she had a quiet intensity, the physical stuff... just the way we move in space.
We shake our legs, our hands are all over. She just studied me, man."
The film follows two friends, Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, as they rise from rebellions Southern California kids to rock stars of the now legendary group that paved the way for future generations of girl band.
Joan and Cherie fall under the Svengali-like influence of rock impressario Kim Fowley, played by Michael Shannon, who turns the group into an outrageous success and a family of misfits.
It's a change of pace for Stewart as she leave the Twilight Saga behind her for a little while. However she will be returning to the franchise this summer for the release of Eclipse, the third movie in the series.
