Twilight star Kristen Stewart will play Joan Jett in a biopic about the singer.
Stewart will play the I Love Rock & Roll hitmaker in new film The Runaways, and the real Jett couldn't be happier claiming the actress has the 'right energy' for the part.
She says, "When her hair is cut and with the right make-up, Kristen should make a really good me."
The odd couple has already had a chance to jam together, and Jett is impressed with the young star's musical skills: "She sounded great and played well.
"She has the passion for it, which you can't really be taught."
Stewart shot to fame at the end of 2008 wither her role as Bella in the big screen adaptation of Twilight, Stephenie Meyers' hit novels.
The film topped the American box office making household names of it's young cast, including Brit actor Robert Pattinson.
Twilight's sequel New Moon is currently in production and will follow human character Bella and her vampire lover Edward, played by Robert, separated because of circumstances and Edward's self-doubt.
