Sam Raimi has revealed that actress Kirsten Dunst has still not signed on for the fourth instalment of the Spiderman franchise.
Spiderman was last in cinemas in 2007 and Raimi and leading man Maguire have long been linked with a fourth and possibly fifth movie.
In an interview with Sci-Fi Wire he said: "I'm hoping that she is going to come aboard, and I've got a meeting coming up with her. I think she would like to. But I don't want to speak on behalf of her."
Despite rumours circulating that films four and five would be filmed back to back Raimi dismissed these claims last month.
However the filmmaker is still working on the storyline for the latest movie: "I don't have that. I don't have just some ideas written down, but I said that last month, and there was a very negative reaction from the fans: 'Why does he keep talking about that movie? Where is that movie?'
"It's just because people ask me, but I don't really have anything at all worked out right now."
The film is expected to get underway in March 2010.
