Kiefer Sutherland has revealed that he is looking forward to working on the 24 movie because it's a 'fresh start'.
24 TV show comes to an end when season 8 comes to a conclusion but Sutherland admits that knowing that there was a movie around the corner made the decision to cancel the show easier to take.
In an interview with E! Online the actor said: "One thing that is stopping this [finale party] from being a very sad night for me is we're all going to be working together on the films."
"I don't have to say goodbye to Jack Bauer just yet."
"[The movie is] going to be a real fresh start for us. It'll be the first time we're not doing it in real time.
"The film will be a two-hour representation of a 24-hour day, which alleviates the writers of the responsibility of writing in real time, which is unbelievably difficult."
The actor went on to say that developing the movie is going really well as they continue to work on a script for the film.
"We just got a screenplay, we're working on that," he said. "It's in the proper stages and we can start to hopefully put together a production schedule... We've got our fingers crossed."
