Actor Kevin Costner has claimed that sequels are a waste of time and money and has vowed never to star in one.The Oscar-winning star has frequently been linked with follow-ups to his films, including The Bodyguard and Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves, but the 52-year old claims making sure-fire box office hits would take the excitement out of his work. He says, "Unlike many people in Hollywood, I haven't made sequels to my movies because I think that would be too easy."Costner made his big screen debut in 1974 in Sizzle Beach, USA but it wasn't until 1985 that he got his breakthrough role in Silverado.Then came a string of hit movies including, the widely renowmed as a classic The Untouchables, and Dances With Wolves. The film, which Costner starred in and directed, won seven Academy Awards including Best Film and Best Director. The nineties brought Costner more succes with roles in the popular The Bodyguard with Whitney Houston, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and Oliver Stone's JFK.Costner can next be seen in Mr Brooks with Demi Moore and Dane Cook.
