Kenneth Branagh has revealed that Thor 'comes from a different place' that other Marvel movie Iron Man.
The director has talked about his big budget blockbuster project and admits that his approach to the movie is completely different to that of Jon Favreau.
Speaking to Comic Vine the filmmaker said: "I think Thor comes from a different place story-wise and character-wise.
"We have both Norse histories for Thor, in addition to what Marvel has pillaged for the last 40 years or so, which sits in a really strong narrative structure.
"There's a semi-ornateness to all of it that means we start from a more ordered universe, then the story turns more chaotic."
The movie brings together a great cast of Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Stellan Skarsgard and Idris Elba as another Marvel Comic character is brought to the big screen.
Thor is the first big budget blockbuster for Branagh, who returns to the director's chair for the first time since Sleuth.
Thor is released 20th May.
