Kenneth Branagh has admitted that comedy was just as important to him as action sequences whilst making Thor.
Thor is the first big budget blockbuster for the actor turned director as he assembled an impressive cast of Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins.
And while the movie promises action and some great special effects it seems that comedy will also be a big part of the movie.
Speaking to EW the filmmaker said: "We always felt there was a very strong mine of material in the fish-out-of-water.
"When you reduce a man who is arrogant by temperament, extremely oppressive and used to having his own way, dressed unusually, you are immediately in a position where you have comic friction.
"In his mind, he's still prince of the cosmos and he'll do what he wants. People from Earth getting in his way and asking silly questions is immaterial."
Thor is released 29th April.
