Kellan Lutz has praised his Twilight co-stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson claiming that they are the main reason behind the franchise’s huge success.
The actor takes on the role of Emmett Cullen in the franchise that has been a huge box office hit over the last two years, propelling its cast to fame.
In an interview with Zap 2 he said: "The rest of us, we could suck probably. It's Rob and Kristen who have the amazing chemistry.”
"Without those two keystones, Twilight could have flopped. It really could have."
Lutz and the cast returned last month for the second book to be adapted for the big screen, New Moon. The movie has been a box office smash and has already grossed over $627 million at the global box office.
Eclipse will hit cinemas in the summer of next year, filming on that has already been completed. And while Breaking Dawn, the fourth book in the series, isn’t a certainty Lutz has admitted that he would love to return to the franchise.
"They haven't told the rest of us actors yet. I have read that they are talking to Rob, Taylor [Lautner] and Kristen to negotiate to make Dawn into two movies. I'd love for it to be two films."
New Moon is out now.
