Keira Knightley has launched a controversial new TV advertisement - starring as a domestic abuse victim.
The British beauty appears in the two minute television and cinema advertsement as an actress who is beaten at home by her boyfriend.
Knightley is seen curled up in a ball on her kitchen floor as her partner kicks her in the stomach after returning home from a film set..
A strapline reads: "Isn't it time someone called cut?"
She is also shown being hit in the face and having her hair pulled in the emotional ad for British charity Women's Aid.
Knightley says, "Domestic violence kills two women every week but we rarely hear about it."
The avert has been directed by British filmmaker Joe Wright who worked with Knightley on both Pride and Prejudice and Atonement.
